Vermont!

"Excuse me ma'm, do you know what state we are in?" (some random name is given).  "um, is that in Vermont?"  (yes)

The backyard of the house we stayed at Friday

No we did not stay up until 4:30 am  (cough cough)

It was like a movie - really!  A bit misty, foggy, and gorgeous!

Driving on random roads w/ the windows down, rocking out to good tunes in such pretty places!

Then we arrived at the area damaged by the hurricane

The road up ahead had fallen into the river

We met several of these signs

We stopped at this pretty lake for a bit.  It looked like a mirror!

It was SO PRETTY!

View from where I was sitting.

We stayed in these cabins Saturday night at the property the mormon church owns in Sharon, Vermont.

The girls got the cabins.  The boys camped.

The leaves were changing colors!

"I love that the chocolate is right in front of us so we can just eat it all!" (Then some people come over who say "Oh no seriously! The chocolate is already gone!) Adam, Ally and I look at each other then bust up laughing.

"John the jerk" becomes "John the genuine" and then "John the genuine jerk"  - - ha

This is a picture taken of the "darkest area of space".  The camera took in light for several days.  These are all galaxies that showed up.  It is on display at the visitor center in Sharon, Vermont - the birthplace of Joseph Smith.  This picture blew my mind.

Monument made in memory of Joseph Smith, prophet of the Mormon church.

After class...

School of Social Work

Directly across from the school of social work is the Charles River

Heading towards...

The T!

I get off the T

Cross the street

Pass my favorite fire hydrant

Pass my favorite flowers (and no, I have not changed he color - that's really what they look like)

Climb these

Halfway up the stairs looking back towards the street with the T
After some more walking I eventually make it to my house

This is where I do laundry downstairs

Then I go upstairs

At the top of these stairs I reach a door that leads to our backyard!

To the left of that door I come through this door to enter our kitchen

Down a hall from our kitchen is this room

Hey, you asked to see my whole apartment :)

And finally, an attempt at taking a 360 degree shot of my room - ha.  Epic fail.  But you get the idea.

September 11, 2011 - 10 years later

This was on display for people to come and sign for the 10th anniversary of September 11, 2001.  I remember September 11.  I was at my piano lesson when the first plane hit.  My teachers son ran into the room to tell us.  My lesson was cancelled and I went home and saw both towers collapse live on T.V..  I still wanted to go to school even though my Mom said I didn't have to.  In Ms. Owen's art class we watched the news. My friend was upset because her dad was in New York City and they couldn't get ahold of him. My dad was in New York City as well, but he called my mom and said he was okay.  My friends dad ran from the dust cloud as the towers collapsed.   I think he lost his phone and maybe his computer, but he lived.  I watched the news for probably five straight hours after school.  I won't forget that day.  God Bless America.
